About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Analyst to join our team at Venterra Realty. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for ensuring the service quality of our application suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor applications for service interruption or degradation, and analyze alerts to determine if they need to be escalated.
  • Implement data fixes by writing and executing SQL to resolve data problems in our production environment.
  • Act as a first responder for application incidents, coordinate with relevant teams and stakeholders, and provide progress updates for users.
  • Identify patterns in support to identify problems, understand their impact, and work with software development to prioritize fixes.
  • Measure the availability of our applications and report on them monthly.
  • Assist the acquisition team in enrolling new properties that Venterra acquires into our applications, and execute SQL queries and perform post-acquisition data fixes.
  • Build out our internal knowledge-base about application operations and keep it updated.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years' previous experience supporting, configuring, and monitoring business applications.
  • Good understanding of relational database concepts, including tables, views, and procedures.
  • Proficient in SQL, including select, update, delete, and joins.
  • Strong communicator at all levels with exceptional verbal and written proficiency.
  • Motivated and passionate about seeking improvements, with a passion for understanding business needs balanced with development priorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills, technical acumen, and ability to use tools and run commands and procedures in a technology context.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Familiarity with Atlassian products, including Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of ITIL concepts and terminology.
