About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Hemodialysis team at Fraser Health Authority. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our renal services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care during the predialysis, intradialysis, and postdialysis periods.
  • Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing changes to individualized care plans, including attending multidisciplinary care planning meetings and family conferences.
  • Perform nursing duties related to hemodialysis, including administering medications and providing education to patients.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and communication.
Requirements
  • Current full practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Graduation from an approved program of Practical Nursing and successful completion of post-basic education through an in-house program offered by a health authority affiliated with BC Renal.
  • One (1) year recent related experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse in acute care or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
