Job Summary

We're seeking a Part-Time Fresh N Good Associate to assist with our Fresh N Good Food Program based out of our Parallel Food Store in Abbotsford, BC. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest service, preparing a wide variety of products, and ensuring a safe and clean working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of products for the Gas Bar Food Program, including sandwiches, baked goods, popcorn, confectionary, and more.
  • Deliver products to our Gas Bars and Pubs throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
  • Provide responsive and exceptional service to guests at the Deli and treat counters.
  • Recommend, slice, weigh, package, and price meats and cheeses.
  • Prepare special orders and party trays.
  • Update displays, cases, and customer-facing areas to showcase new items and promotions.
  • Ensure work areas are clean and ready for customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and regulatory agencies.
  • Cooperate with others to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures.
Requirements
  • Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • 1-2 years of Deli, Kitchen, and/or Food Prep experience (an asset).
  • Comfortable driving a delivery van throughout the Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (25-50 lbs) and operate equipment like meat and cheese slicers, scales, and cash registers.
  • Excellent guest service, communication, and math skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
  • Courteous and efficient approach to handling guest requests, questions, and complaints.
  • Commitment to a SAFE working environment.
  • Open availability to work a variety of shifts, 7 days a week from 4:00am-9:00pm. Weekend availability is a must.
