At Workstar Framing Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Welding Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that all welds meet the highest standards and specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, with experience in interpreting welding process specifications, reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes. You will also be responsible for examining welds and ensuring that they meet standards and/or specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
  • Interpret welding process specifications
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 40 hours per week
