Overview
Fire engineering is a critical discipline that requires deep expertise in fire code reform and regulatory acceptance. As a Senior/Associate Fire Engineer at Ignis Global Recruitment, you will play a key role in securing approval for innovative and safe solutions. Our clients rely on us to navigate Australia's complex regulatory framework, which includes both prescriptive 'deemed-to-satisfy' codes and alternative performance requirements.

Salary
The salary range for this position is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and performance-based bonuses.

Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and self-sufficient Senior/Associate Fire Engineer to join our expanding team. You will be responsible for producing well-structured, concise reports that clearly outline proposed solutions with low liability risk, supporting straightforward project approvals. Your duties will include:
• Supervision and mentoring of junior engineers;
• Developing fee proposals & building strong client relationships;
• Meeting with the fire brigade and advocating performance solutions;
• Using and sensibility checking computer programs including FDS, CFAST and Firewind;
• Reviewing reports to company quality standards;
• Addressing administrative tasks and contributing to the team and company's goals by proactively solving challenges.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in engineering or science with postgraduate studies in fire engineering to professional level recognized by state and federal accreditation bodies. A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in fire engineering is also required.
