About the Opportunity

Urban Systems is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Indigenous Communities Practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality infrastructure planning and engineering services to our Indigenous clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement infrastructure planning and engineering solutions for Indigenous communities, including roadways, water, sanitary, drainage, and housing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our Indigenous clients, providing them with expert advice and guidance on infrastructure planning and engineering.
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality projects that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Prepare technical reports, plans, studies, proposals, and presentations.
  • Coach and mentor younger professionals and contribute to the growth and development of our team.
About You

We are looking for a Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years of experience and a strong background in infrastructure planning and engineering. You should be registered or eligible for registration as a professional member with EGBC and have a valid class 5 driver's license. In addition, you should have experience with engineering design and analysis of water systems, sanitary systems, land/subdivision development, and stormwater.

You should also have a demonstrated knowledge of preparing budgets and cost estimates, working knowledge of workplans and scope of work preparations, and working knowledge of Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) funding models. A commitment to ongoing personal and professional development is essential, as is the ability to effectively deliver our services within multi-disciplinary, fast-paced, multi-year projects.
