Job Title: Heavy Truck Driver

Baxter Trucking Ltd is seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Driver to join our team. As a Heavy Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Short-haul experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Own transportation
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
