Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, including trunking systems, circuits, and equipment;
  • Testing equipment to locate transmission faults and completing and maintaining test and service reports;
  • Determining the nature, cause, and location of trouble and making necessary repairs or replacements;
  • Climbing and working aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures;
  • Repairing or replacing faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers, as well as splicing, joining, and connecting wires;
  • Repairing or replacing defective telephone equipment.
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field, or equivalent experience;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently;
  • Ability to climb and work at heights safely.
Work Environment:

As a Field Service Technician, you will be working outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and underground. You must be comfortable with this type of environment and able to work safely in it.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer benefits such as health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
