At Computacenter, we're seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing proactive support and resolution of client issues related to their IT infrastructure within established SLAs.

This position is part of a 5 x 8 shift (M-F) and requires flexibility to support locations in Toronto and Greater Hamilton, Ontario area.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Activating network ports
  • Providing network support with various manufacturers and operating systems
  • Supporting users with network-related issues
  • Escalating hardware and network support 24/7, ensuring quality and speed of problem resolution
  • Performing network project tasks as assigned

Requirements include:

  • Proven knowledge and troubleshooting experience in networking technologies and vendor products
  • Ability to install, configure, and support enterprise network switches
  • Network troubleshooting of VPN connections, access layer ports, and wireless devices
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Previous experience in supporting Healthcare
  • Experience using ITIL-based ticketing systems and ITSM frameworks
  • Experience with Ansible and Cisco ISE
  • Experience in client-facing IT support roles in enterprise environments

Healthcare customer requirements include:

Before working in one of our healthcare customer facilities, it's a requirement to show proof of immunization, as per the Public Hospitals Act. In a hospital setting, workers are at potential risk of acquiring a communicable disease. OMA/OHA protocols under Regulation 965 of the Public Hospitals Act require that all persons carrying out work activities on hospital premises be immune to measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (chickenpox). They also require that individuals be free from active tuberculosis and participate in baseline skin testing. Annual influenza vaccination is strongly recommended.
