Retail Store Team Lead

We are seeking a Retail Store Team Lead to join our team at J S Convenience Store. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of sales staff, ensuring seamless customer service and efficient store operations.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, with excellent leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for assigning tasks to sales staff, authorizing payments, resolving customer complaints, and maintaining inventory levels.
You will work closely with cashiers, retail salespersons, and sales clerks to ensure a smooth and efficient shopping experience for customers. This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Sales Staff: Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback to ensure high-quality customer service.
- Authorize Payments and Resolve Complaints: Make informed decisions regarding payment authorization and customer complaints.
- Maintain Inventory Levels: Organize and manage inventory to meet customer demand and reduce waste.
- Prepare Reports: Compile sales data, merchandising information, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A college or CEGEP education
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- A client-focused approach with a strong commitment to teamwork
This role requires standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment under pressure. The successful candidate must be reliable, efficient, and able to communicate effectively in English.
What We OfferIn return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a stable and dynamic work environment.
