We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the development of our PT6E-Series engine. As a key member of our Engineering Project Management team, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership to a multidisciplinary team and ensuring the successful delivery of this critical project.
Key Responsibilities- Define and achieve product design requirements, ensuring that the engine meets the necessary specifications and standards.
- Effectively manage a multi-disciplinary team, including engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders, to achieve program objectives and meet deadlines.
- Lead design verification, validation, and certification activities, ensuring that the engine meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Meet program schedule and budget commitments, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful project delivery.
- Assist the Program Director/Managers as required, providing technical expertise and guidance to support business strategies and emerging priorities.
- Bachelor degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience or Master degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field.
- Strong product knowledge, acquired through experiences in more than one engineering discipline.
- Proven technical leadership, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects and teams.
- Able to work autonomously with OEMs, identifying opportunities and challenges, and recommending solutions.
- Highly adaptable, with the ability to accommodate changes in priorities based on latest information and reconcile diverse/opposing opinions to support business strategies and emerging priorities.
- Strong organization and communication skills, with the ability to identify opportunities, challenges, and recommend solutions.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time, with a strong focus on task closure and delivery.
- Availability to travel, both interplant and externally, sometimes on short notice and occasionally for extended periods.
- Being an active member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec or the association of Professional Engineers of Ontario would also be considered as an asset.
