**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Specialist to join our team at RhynoCare. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our residents and contribute to the delivery of exceptional long-term care.
**About the Role:**
- To provide high-quality nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse.
- To utilize evidence-based nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- To coordinate timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientations to the home and services offered.
- To facilitate safe and timely transfers and discharges of residents.
- To maintain accurate records of medication management and protocols on all assigned shifts * To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and assisting with daily living activities.
- Conducting thorough assessments of residents' health status and developing individualized care plans.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of best practices in long-term care.
**Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent degree required.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses required.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification necessary.
- Basic computer proficiency essential.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate required.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills crucial.
- Able to work effectively with others in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Respects each resident's autonomy, dignity, and right to privacy.
- Familiarity with relevant federal, provincial, and municipal legislation influencing long-term care operations.
- Medical Clearance, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Clear Criminal Record check required.
**What We Offer:**
- A competitive salary of $85,000 - $95,000 per year, based on experience.
