Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Software Development Manager to lead our engineering teams in building and supporting best-in-class music festival centric technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to the VP of Engineering and serve as a company leader for engineering.
- Collaborate with supervisors in defining engineering strategy and technical roadmap.
- Lead staffing efforts across multiple agile teams – onshore vs. offshore as well as full-time vs. contract.
- Address relevant personnel matters such as resource allocation and performance evaluation.
- Monitor and support skill and career development for direct reports.
- Unite technical leaders in the definition of processes and best practices.
- Serve as an advocate for technical initiatives in the product roadmap planning process.
- Periodically provide valuable individual coding contributions to expedite initiatives.
- Support on-call needs through direct contribution or escalation/rotation management.
Technical Requirements
- 8+ years related work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Advanced knowledge of:
- application and data architecture.
- object oriented programming principles.
- prevailing best practices and design patterns.
- Expert knowledge of:
- agile methodologies.
- cloud infrastructure architecture.
- testing methodologies.
- version control tools and best practices.
- Mastery of one or more scripting languages.
