Key Responsibilities:- Execute the complete procurement process from preparing competitive bids to commercial evaluation, recommendations, and purchase order issuance, ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures and meeting user requirements.
- Develop, negotiate, and execute supplier agreements to optimize pricing and cost-efficient methods, contributing to company-wide cost savings.
- Research sources of supply, review sole source validity, and determine methods of procurement action to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, pricing, delivery, payment terms, and warranty agreements.
- Evaluate supplier performance and address inefficiencies via feedback loops in Maximo to ensure continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with established policies and procedures, and audit guidelines/Sox requirements.
- Issue and approve purchase orders per ASL, and investigate and facilitate issue resolution relative to procurement activities as requested.
- Act as a liaison between project managers and/or consultants and suppliers, and research and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Mentor, guide, and train department staff or end-user department personnel as required, and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market conditions and industry trends relating to SCM.
- Related university degree from an accredited college in purchasing, supply chain management, business administration, finance, logistics, or equivalent, or significant business knowledge acquired through a combination of formal education and experience.
- Post-secondary education in purchasing/supply chain management, business administration, finance, or equivalent.
- Two or more years of procurement experience.
- Supply Chain Management Professional (SCPM)/Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) enrollment beneficial.

They will also have a strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and procedures, as well as experience with procurement software and systems.
