Job Title: Senior Manager, Public Relations and Government AffairsWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Public Relations and Government Affairs to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our Communications and Global Government Affairs team, you will play a critical role in developing and executing our external communication and government affairs strategy.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive external communication and government affairs plan, aligned with our business objectives.
- Manage media relations and external communications functions, ensuring effective messaging and stakeholder engagement.
- Draft and refine communications products, including press releases, media advisories, and other materials.
- Lead the preparation of our leadership team for key messaging and presentations.
- Monitor and analyze international, federal, and provincial policies related to decarbonization and the energy transition.
- Develop fact sheets, presentations, and other communications collateral, in close collaboration with our Communications and Global Government Affairs team.
- Manage logistics associated with parliamentary and senate committee appearances and/or hearings, as required.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public affairs, or a sustainability-related discipline.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in external communications and government relations.
- Past experience in a public company is an asset.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cultivate meaningful relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Ability to write and edit comprehensive documents, including briefing notes, press releases, and government engagement strategies.
- Proactive, hardworking, result-oriented, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work well in small team dynamics.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is required, with frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London, and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa.
