Job Summary
The Distribution Centre Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution centre. Reporting directly to the Regional Distribution Manager, this individual will oversee the overall performance of the centre, ensuring that all Health, Safety and C-TPAT policies are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise distribution operations to meet service and quality standards.
- Develop and manage the distribution team to provide prompt and accurate customer service.
- Implement and maintain Health & Safety and Human Resources practices.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through RF technology and cycle counts.
- Assist in developing and managing the operating budget.
- Apply Continuous Improvement principles to enhance operations and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with internal practices, such as TMS and C-TPAT.
- Provide training to employees on internal standards and provincial/state laws.
- Coordinate repairs and purchases for the distribution centre.
Requirements
- College diploma in a related field or equivalent experience in distribution, logistics, and customer service.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience in an RF environment.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- SAP experience is an asset.
