Job Summary:
The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Gynecologic Oncology team. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our team of physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room care to Gynecologic Oncology patients using evidence-based clinical practice standards.
- Assess and manage patients, making differential diagnoses, ordering appropriate testing, and coordinating patient care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide optimal care for patients, including physicians, nurses, clerical staff, technicians, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including admission notes, progress notes, and discharge notes.
Requirements:
- Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent
- Undergraduate Degree
- Graduate of a Canadian or US Accredited Physician Assistant Education Program
- Eligible to challenge the National Physician Assistant Certification Exam, or Canadian Physician Assistant Certification – Mandatory
- BCLS and ACLS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Oncology, Surgery, and/or Gynecology
