About the Role
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Patient Care Aide to join the team at Heiltsuk Hospital in Bella Bella, BC.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient care duties for acute care, residential care, and emergency department patients.
- Assist with feeding, personal hygiene, and transporting patients, as well as clerical duties such as assembling and maintaining patient charts and transcribing doctors' orders.
- Clean, sterilize, assemble, wrap, and label instruments, equipment, and linen, and perform related clerical duties.
- Stock medical/surgical and emergency ward supplies as required.
About the Team
Heiltsuk Hospital is a 7-bed acute care hospital with 7 long-term care beds and a 4-bed emergency department. The hospital offers telehealth services, specialty clinics, and an Intensive Case Management team for mental health and substance use.
