About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Support Worker to join our team at Bayshore HealthCare. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist clients with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication management.
  • Support clients with specialized needs, such as dementia care and wound management.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Requirements

  • Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • At least one year of recent personal care experience in a similar position or life experience in which similar duties were completed.
  • Reliable mode of transportation or valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for commuting.
  • Clear police criminal record and ability to obtain Vulnerable Sector Screening if required.
