We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering Operations to lead our engineering team in Western Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for implementing engineering standards, processes, and strategies that support our company's growth and evolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develop and implement a system for evaluating and prioritizing engineering projects to ensure alignment with our company's goals.
  • Thought Leadership: Show a strong commitment to identifying and pursuing continuous improvement opportunities, driving innovation and excellence in our engineering practices.
  • Engineering Standards: Develop and maintain engineering standards and processes to ensure effective implementation of related initiatives.
  • Project Execution: Create and apply methods and procedures for managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Communication: Develop processes and procedures for providing clear and timely project updates to senior management and the leadership team.
  • Resource Allocation: Determine the resources needed to support and enhance in-house engineering capabilities, ensuring optimal utilization of our team's skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • Education: Engineering degree with regional accreditation (P.Eng).
  • Certifications: Project Management Certification.
  • Experience: At least 15 years of hands-on experience managing capital projects, with a minimum of 10 years in a management role, preferably within the food processing industry.
  • Skills: Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and time management skills, with proven ability to manage performance of others to achieve desired results.
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel extensively to support our company's operations and projects.
