Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Uptown Day Care Inc.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Assistant will work under the supervision of early childhood educators to support the development and implementation of child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Assist in keeping records and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide high-quality care and education to children.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a child care centre setting.
  • 5-10 people in the team.
  • Criminal record check and Child Abuse Registry check required.
