Job OverviewThe Process Control Technician will provide technical support services to monitor and improve process control systems and instrumentation performance site-wide. Reporting to the Team Leader, Electrical Services, this role is part of a diverse team that includes various trades.
Key Responsibilities- Apply technical expertise to identify problems and implement solutions;
- Repair and calibrate field devices to ensure optimal performance;
- Focus on preventative maintenance to minimize downtime;
- Develop and implement performance monitoring and testing programs;
- Analyze results, identify challenges, and recommend improvements.
- Journeyman Instrument Mechanic certification (Red Seal) or a diploma in a recognized Instrumentation Technical program;
- 3 years' experience in a technical capacity;
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities;
- A broad knowledge of equipment, machinery, and processes used in the precious stones industry;
- Specialization in Process Control and Instrumentation systems and experience with Modicon PLC and Wonderware HMI control systems, and knowledge of database systems such as SQL is considered an asset;
- Experience with VMware, Cisco Network switches, and administering Windows systems.
