Salary

$36.72 - $37.09 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with our Women & Children's Program, you will work collaboratively with all members of the team to provide high-quality care to our patients. This role requires you to operate within your full scope of practice, providing direct patient care, administering medications, and participating in education and training programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario practicing at full scope.
  • Two years recent related experience in maternal/newborn/pediatric nursing within the last three years.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification.
  • Able to meet the core competencies to independently provide care for Pediatric, Newborn and Post-Partum patients.
  • Thorough understanding and commitment to Patient and Family Centered Care principles and ability to use in practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certificate.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, decision making, and conflict resolution skills and able to work through conflicts and differences in a respectful manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members to ensure an excellent patient care experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to patient and staff safety.
  • Ability to adapt and work within a constantly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing/continuous professional development through the completion of recent obstetrical, neonatal, pediatric and/or relevant course work.
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Cerner, etc.).
  • Demonstrated performance record that reflects STEGH's values.
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis in accordance with STEGH's Attendance at Work Program.
