We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with healthcare providers to provide patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy.
- Work on selected medical services, identify and resolve drug-related problems, complete medication reconciliation, participate in interprofessional medical rounds, provide patient education, and make therapeutic recommendations to the team.
- Participate in and oversee drug distribution systems (inpatient and outpatient), contributing to the effective and efficient attainment of the goals and objectives of Nova Scotia Health Pharmacy Services.
We are looking for a Pharmacist who meets the following criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited university program in Pharmacy.
- Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program is preferred.
- Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia.
- Minimum two years' experience in clinical practice in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs.
- Competencies in other languages are an asset, French is preferred.
This is a permanent full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $43.67-$53.24 per hour.
