About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at Dans Country Market Ltd. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional manner
  • Stock shelves and maintain a clean and organized store environment
  • Process payments, handle cash, cheques, and credit/debit card transactions
  • Scan items and receive payment for goods or services
  • Monitor all entrances and exits, requesting proof of payment when necessary
  • Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail or customer service experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability and dependability
