About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishroom Attendant to join our team at Siam Authentic Thai Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized dishroom environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
  • Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
  • Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
  • Scour pots and pans
  • Portion and wrap foods
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Reliability, team player, and dependability
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment

Working Conditions:

  • 10 to 20 hours per week
  • Permanent work term
  • Work language: English
