We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team in PEI, reporting to the Moncton Construction & Forestry branch.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry based equipment and attachments in a shop environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the working condition of heavy duty equipment, diagnose issues, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair as needed.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Operate related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
  • Accurately document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken.
  • Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Utilize computer applications and information systems (i.e. John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate parts using catalogues and order from parts personnel.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Meet physical demands of the role (climbing, overhead lifting/postures, prolonged standing, sensory processing, fine motor control).
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary of $65,000 per year, plus benefits. If you are a motivated individual with a passion for heavy equipment maintenance, we encourage you to apply.
