Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder and Metal Fabricator to join our team at Price-Schonstrom Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, reading and interpreting welding blueprints, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and efficient work.
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut and shape metal parts.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Determine weldability of materials and select appropriate welding processes.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal parts and products.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks. The ideal candidate will have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.

Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
