Job Description

The Pharmacist will play a key role in achieving departmental excellence in patient-focused care, customer service, workflow efficiencies, and PROfile programs. Key responsibilities include providing pharmacy services to customers and medical practitioners, guiding and supervising Pharmacy students and Assistants, and ensuring patients receive professional clinical services.

Responsibilities

  • Focusing on clinical services, including disease state management, medication reviews, health risk assessments, and prescription safety
  • Providing patient counselling for new therapy and monitoring medication adherence
  • Tailoring counselling to patients' needs and concerns, such as literacy, hearing loss, or privacy
  • Acknowledging customers promptly and professionally, demonstrating warmth, empathy, and compassion towards them

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Above-average communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently to meet strict deadlines and be a team player in a fast-paced environment
  • A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution and a Licensed Pharmacist in the province of responsibility
