Internal Medicine Site Director Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Internal Medicine team at Grace Hospital.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a dual reporting structure, working closely with the Regional Medical Specialty Lead and the Chief Medical Officer to plan and coordinate service delivery of the Internal Medicine Program.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Regional Medical Specialty Lead in planning and coordinating the Program system-wide
  • Ensuring effective and efficient delivery of care at Grace Hospital
  • Liaising with the academic Department Head for contractual issues and enhancing teaching and research activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Hold an FRCP(C) in Internal Medicine or equivalent
  • Have a full-time appointment to the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Manitoba at the Rank of Assistant Professor, or higher
  • 5 years or more of experience in a medical leadership role
  • Knowledge and experience in management functions including strategic planning, human resource and financial management
