Health Information Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Information Management Advisor to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Health Information Management department, you will play a critical role in providing leadership and expertise in the development and application of health information standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and guidance on the collection, access, and use of health information to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Develop and implement health information systems and applications to support clinical and administrative functions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement data analytics and reporting tools to inform business decisions.
- Provide training and support to internal and external users on health information systems and applications.
- Facilitate organizational changes resulting from the implementation and use of health information systems and policies.
- Graduation from a recognized Health Information Management program.
- Certification by the Canadian College of Health Information Management and eligibility for active membership with the Canadian Health Information Management Association.
- One year's recent related experience in a Health Information Management department of an acute care healthcare facility or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current valid BC Driver's License.
- Experience with health information systems and applications, including Cerner and Med2020.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools, including statistical calculations and interpretation of reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to teach and train others.
