Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Chef to plan and execute menus, ensuring that they meet the company's high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Train and mentor junior cooks, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their duties to the highest standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are in good working order.
  • Ensure that all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed, ensuring that the kitchen environment is safe and healthy for all staff and customers.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience as a cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Culinary diploma or degree is an asset.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team of cooks.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to spend 100% of the time standing, with a strong physical stamina and endurance.
  • Serve Safe certification is required.
