Electrical Superintendent Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead our electrical construction operations. This individual will be responsible for directing, completing, and managing the financial outcome of projects.

Our company specializes in installing Overhead Contact Systems (OCS), Traction Power Substations (TPSS), Signaling and Train Control, Communications, and Control Centers.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure project financial objectives are met by overseeing each stage of development.
- Coordinate daily/weekly meetings with other superintendents and project engineers to develop project means/methods, schedule contracting needs, and long lead delivery times.
- Manage electrical field operations and work sequence in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections. Review, approve, and negotiate change orders.
- Establish work plans and staffing needs for each phase of the project, working closely with Project Manager and HR team to manage relationships with staff and craft employees.
- Form and lead an effective project management team, defining, and delegating management responsibilities and setting goals.
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
- Be an effective leader and communicate with department leads and other project personnel regarding work scopes.
- Ensure electricians and engineers understand and execute work as required by client/project specifications.
- Ensure safety, quality, and production are always maintained.
- Responsible for project closeout: securing loose ends by finishing paperwork, obtaining retainages, supporting supervisors, and expediting claims.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is an asset.
- At least 5 years of work experience managing electrical aspects of commercial construction projects with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost control, project owner specifications, engineering drawings, and other project documents/reports.
- The ability to work successfully both independently and as a team to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done the first time.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.

The estimated salary range for this position is $115,000-$125,000 per year, depending on education, experience, skillset, and location.
