About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Sentrex Health Solutions Inc. in a key role that involves clinical aspects of drug distribution, including prescription review/verification, patient counseling, and resolving drug-related problems.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for clinical aspects of drug distribution, including prescription clinical review/verification, patient counseling, and resolving drug-related problems.
  • Navigate the healthcare system, including insurance investigation and coordination with patient support programs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clinic staff, nurses, and physicians primarily through phone and email communication.
  • Adhere to all relevant guidelines, including established Standard Operating Procedures and applicable regulatory requirements as set out by the provincial College of Pharmacists.
  • Drug reimbursement navigation as required by patient insurers and support programs.
  • Pharmacovigilance reporting to drug manufacturers and communication to healthcare providers to address adverse events.
  • Guide and problem-solve with the pharmacy team on daily tasks.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals, reimbursement coordinators, private payers, and patients.
  • Billing prescriptions through pharmacy software (Kroll) ensuring all required documentation is adequate and appropriate.
Requirements
  • Registered and licensed as a pharmacist with the provincial pharmacy college (RPh designation).
  • 1-2 years of experience as a pharmacist preferred.
  • Experience with Kroll software required.
  • Knowledge of specialty medications and third-party billing issues an asset.
  • Exceptional knowledge of third-party insurance plans, special authorizations, and EAPs.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written in English; ability to communicate effectively in French an asset.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to self-manage time, set priorities, and multitask to meet competing work deadlines.
  • Ability to perform all clinical duties involved in successful medication dispensing.
