About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Asbestos Removal Specialist to join our team at Division 2 Environmental Ltd. As a key member of our environmental remediation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials from construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asbestos Removal and Disposal: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, and assist in the removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, and level earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Equipment Operation: Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or truck, and operate chippers, jackhammers, drills, and other equipment as needed.
  • Site Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and procedures, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure a smooth and efficient work process.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, physically demanding tasks, and repetitive tasks. Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Certifications: Required certifications for asbestos removal and disposal.
