About the Role

As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team at Alberta Health Services, we are seeking an experienced peri-operative Operating Room Technician (ORT) with a strong background in nursing to join our surgical team.

Responsibilities
  • Providing safe and effective patient care in accordance with CLPNA practice standards
  • Delivering high-quality care in both scrub and circulating roles as part of the surgical team
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care during the peri-operative patient experience
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated competence in delivering safe and effective care
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Successful completion of a peri-operative course
