The Co-ordinator of Recruitment and Admissions plays a pivotal role in shaping the student experience at Camosun College. Reporting to the [supervisor's name], this dynamic individual will be responsible for leading the Recruitment and Admissions department in achieving strategic enrolment goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and engage prospective students, ensuring alignment with the college's strategic plan.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless delivery of admissions and recruitment activities, including the receipt, processing, and evaluation of applications.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Lead the development and maintenance of recruitment materials, including presentations, workshops, and resources.
- Work closely with schools to define application quotas, deadlines, and achieve targets.
- Coordinate the development of the annual calendar, detailing departmental activities and timelines.
- Act as a key department contact and spokesperson, representing the Recruitment and Admissions department on various committees and initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree and six years of experience in a registrar's office, admissions and recruitment, and/or student services department, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Superior people skills and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced computer/technical skills, using all aspects of MS Office suite.
- Experience using integrated student record/registration database systems.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced leadership skills, including mentoring, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and planning skills, as well as the ability to work within a high-paced, dynamic environment.
