About This Opportunity
Black & McDonald's Saskatchewan Service team is seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Operator to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the building operates safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate and manage work and services provided by subcontractors or service providers.
- Comply with Black & McDonald's codes of conduct, health, safety, and environmental policies, and safe work practices.
- Perform minor repairs, including replacing washers, faucets, sinks, clearing toilets and drains, cleaning grease traps and sumps, re-packing valves, replacing lamps, and resetting breakers.
- Order and maintain supply inventory.
- Oversee work performed by sub-trades.
- Perform daily regular duties, equipment adjustment, and minor plumbing repairs.
- Utilize Building Automation System (BAS) system.

Work Experience Requirements
- 2-4 years' experience in a technical occupation related to HVAC services and equipment.
- Some Building Automation Controls experience.
- 5th Class Power Engineer including Fireman's Certificate preferred.

- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with a desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
- Follows instructions both, written and verbal.
- Maintains a professional demeanor at all times with fellow employees, subs, and customers.
- Accomplishes all duties and tasks as assigned.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.
- Must be able to work on ladder or scaffold at various heights.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 kg (bending and lifting is required).
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
- Must be available for On-Call work.
- Must be able to pass Federal Government Security Clearance.
- A clean driver's abstract is required for this position.
