About the Role

M.P.A.B Transport Inc is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, load and unload goods, and operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, perform brake adjustments, and perform emergency roadside repairs.
  • Logistics: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, oversee all aspects of the vehicle, and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, sitting, attention to detail, flexibility, judgment, organized, reliability, and team player.
  • Work Environment: On the road job, 40 hours per week, permanent position, and work language: English.
