Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Pluto Transport Inc is seeking a reliable and skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, working closely with our dispatch team to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and secure transportation of goods and materials.
  • Load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, maintaining a high level of vehicle condition and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, and ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in good working order.
  • Perform brake adjustments, preventive maintenance, and other tasks as required.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Own transportation.
  • Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, sitting, and up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
