Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Comfort Inn Valemount. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard, ensuring that all dishes are presented attractively and are of high quality.
  • Staff Training: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked and that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, ensuring that the kitchen is clean and safe for staff and guests.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
