Executive Director of Operations

The Executive Director of Operations will lead the Market Unit, overseeing all activities within the Technology Centers and ensuring defined business objectives are achieved and all projects are successfully completed. This role is dedicated to driving the business forward and building a robust future for Eclipse Automation within the defined Markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Overall accountability for financial soundness and success of the Technology Centers within the Market Unit through the achievement of business case targets and revenue attainment.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee Market Unit operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources, specifically directly overseeing the General Managers in each Technology Center and the enablement functions that are required to drive business success.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly audit the performance of the Technology Centers and work with the General Managers to ensure the implementation of strategic plans are being applied correctly.
- Strategic Planning: Review activity reports, operational metrics, and financial statements to monitor the overall performance of the business in accordance with the annual business plan and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions as necessary.
- Revenue Growth: Identify ways to increase revenue and decrease costs, through thoughtful development and implementation of operating budgets and allocating budget appropriately.
- Leadership Evaluation: Evaluate performance of leadership team within the Technology Centers in order to determine compliance with established policies and their contributions to attaining outlined objectives.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Work closely with senior business development leaders to ensure sales pipeline is poised to meet business goals and objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Hold monthly and quarterly business reviews with appropriate stakeholders, including General Managers, to establish goals, understand progression, and make necessary adjustments throughout the fiscal year to drive towards success.
- Customer Relationships: Build strong relationships with client executives, ensuring escalation path is established and customer continues to understand and receive 360 value.
- Corrective Action: Implement corrective action for any adverse trends or objectives at risk.
Requirements:
- Education: University Degree or College Diploma in Business Management, and relevant background with respect to the Automation industry.
- Certifications: PMP, P.Eng, MBA, or CPA are an asset.
- Experience: 10+ years in a leadership role within custom automation and/or advanced manufacturing with increasing responsibility, 5 or more of which are in senior management operational capacity.
- Skills: Proven experience in strategic planning and execution, thorough understanding of project management best practices, including tools for budget, schedule, and issue management as well as key performance metrics.
