Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Holiday Inn & Suites. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient and safe food handling practices.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for menu planning and inventory management.
  • Prepare and submit reports on food service operations, highlighting areas for improvement and success.
  • Collaborate with the chef to prepare food order summaries, ensuring seamless communication and efficient food delivery.
  • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys, ensuring timely and accurate service.
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage during peak periods.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
Working Conditions:
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent standing and walking required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Language:
  • English is the primary language of communication.
Work Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
