Metal Fabrication Technician

At MBRP Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with metalworking machines and a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build staging or erect scaffolding for heavy metalworking jobs
  • Check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and other specifications
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
  • Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld, or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products
  • Document work completed
  • Investigate problems to fix or make minor repairs
  • Lay out, set up, and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines
  • Operate gas or oil-fired furnaces to heat metal to proper temperatures prior to forging
  • Operate machines or equipment that weld, solder, bolt, screw, or rivet metal parts together
  • Operate presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
  • Select and transport material to the work area manually or using a crane or hoist
  • Enter codes specifying speed, feed, and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
