We are a dynamic and innovative company looking for a skilled Metalworking Machine Operator to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating various metalworking machines, including CNC machine tools, and ensuring that products meet the required specifications.

Job Description

As a Metalworking Machine Operator, your primary duties will include:

  • Setting up and operating light or heavy metalworking machines to fabricate metal parts and products;
  • Cutting, bending, rolling, reaming, punching, drilling, welding, or shaping metal stock into desired forms;
  • Laying out, setting up, and operating machines or equipment to weld, solder, bolt, screw, or rivet metal parts together;
  • Operating presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal;
  • Reading and interpreting specifications or following verbal instructions to ensure accurate production;
  • Selecting and transporting material to work areas manually or using cranes or hoists.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Documenting work completed and investigating problems to fix or make minor repairs;
  • Ensuring safety and security protocols are followed in the workplace;
  • Meeting productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience;
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field;
  • Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for long periods;
  • Familiarity with CNC machine tools and metalworking processes.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as dental plan and a permanent position.

Location and Hours

This is a full-time position with 36 to 48 hours of work per week. You must be legally able to work in Canada and willing to relocate for this position.
