About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to join our team at RONA. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and motivate a team of employees to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and improve store appearance
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving stock, to ensure optimal product availability
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives and implement company initiatives
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to employees to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including loss prevention and health and safety protocols
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a retail or sales environment, preferably in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with post-secondary education in a related field an asset
