Mail Delivery Specialist

About the Job

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mail Delivery Specialist to join our team at Canada Post.

As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to customers across your assigned route.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Sorting and preparing mail and packages for delivery
  
• Loading and driving a Canada Post postal vehicle
  
• Delivering mail and packages to customers by foot or by vehicle
  
• Returns to the depot to unload the day's incoming mail and packages
  

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 
  
• A valid Class 5 or Class G driver's licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver's abstract required)
  
• The physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
  
• The ability to work in all types of weather
  
• The availability to be on-call
  
• The ability to read, write and speak English and/or French

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year

Safety Sensitive Position: This position may be considered a Safety Sensitive position and has additional requirements under Canada Post's Substance Use Policy.
