Job Title:

Intermediate Teacher - LTO Assignment

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified Intermediate Teacher to join our team at St. Jude Catholic Elementary School in London. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Intermediate students and contributing to the school community. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Education degree, be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, and possess a strong understanding of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations and the Ontario curriculum.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education degree
  • Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Qualifications appropriate to the position
  • Previous elementary teaching experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession
  • Practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life
  • Proficient knowledge & understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation & assessment techniques
  • Current in understanding of research, integrating technology and best instructional practices
  • Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment for all students
