Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Job Summary:
New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support major hospital development projects, including managing the end-to-end project request intake process for IT infrastructure project requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop IT infrastructure project proposals, working with Solution Architects to capture project requirements and dependencies from clients and third-party suppliers.
- Implement IT infrastructure components, such as data, voice, and wireless networks, and cabling for new facilities and renovations to existing facilities.
- Provide project management using approved project management processes, tools, and techniques.
- Ensure necessary project life cycle processes are completed satisfactorily.
- Track and manage project scope, including budgets, issues, and resolution and correction of problems.
- Report project progress status reports and presentations on an ongoing basis, and at scheduled points in the life cycle to the Sponsor and to Senior Management Committees.
- Prepare plans, charts, tables, and diagrams for presentations to various stakeholder groups, analyzing or displaying problems or limitations of the project.
- Develop quality plans and training programs and manage quality assurance by establishing and maintaining Quality Plans and Process Control Plans.
- Identify, assess, and continually manage risk, issues, and change.
- Ensure project close-out and wrap-up activities are performed and documented according to defined project standards and filed and/or stored as agreed.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working in IT infrastructure project delivery.
- Experience with servers, storage, data networks, IP telephony (VoIP/PBX), wireless networks, and workstation/output device installs and moves.
- Experience implementing IT infrastructure components for construction projects (new builds and renovations).
- Experience on large complex multi-faceted projects.
- Collaborator/team player experienced working with multiple stakeholders.
- Seasoned intuitiveness about personal and team productivity.
- Ability to turnaround work in quick order and relatively good quality (minimal avoidable rework).
- Work effectively under time pressure.
- Prepared to take initiative.
- Prepared to make long-term commitment.
- Flexibility to be re-assigned in response to shifting priorities and needs across Capital Projects.
- Comfortable working with a variety of technology partners.
