Job Summary
The Catholic School Centre is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Support Specialist to join our team. As an Education Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs in a classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist students individually and in small groups to ensure they receive the support they need to succeed.
- Provide general supervision of students during out-of-class time, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with assessment and data tracking to help identify areas where students may need additional support.
- Contribute to class planning activities, behavior and progress reviews to ensure students receive a comprehensive education.
- Assist with the implementation of Learner Support and other response plans to ensure students receive the support they need.
Qualifications
- Category 2: High school diploma
- Category 3: High school diploma and the equivalent of a minimum of two years' experience working with Diverse Learning (DL) needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid Certificates
- Behaviour management training
- Lifting techniques
- Rehabilitation experience
- Restrictive intervention practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
